IT Support Engineer

Working as an IT Support Engineer you support multiple disciplines from designers, writers to editors and producers. All have different needs and use different technologies. This job is hands on in nature, a proactive mentality is a must. During your work you make sure computers are up to date, devices and their accessories are in stock and ready to use. New technologies are tested and tried out such as drones. You also keep an eye open for things to improve. You will be the most loved and populair person in the company ;).

Next to supporting the office with tech, part of the role is more creative. Together with the rest the team, you work on exciting tech projects. These could be internal projects, like hacking commercial hardware and systems, or external projects like creating prototype apps for clients.

We are looking for skills in other parts of technology, especially candidates familiar with coding, web development and hacking.

Skill set IT Support Engineer

  • Understanding of IT or other technology fields
  • Good knowledge of Mac OSX and Apple products

Bonus skills IT Support Engineer

  • Additional expertise indesign specific applications such as Adobe suite, and other related software is a plus
  • Show initiative, flexibility, organized and always looking for improvement
  • Ability to interact with internal stakeholders (and external clients as needed) at a variety of levels and a cross functions
  • Experience in an international environment is highly preferred
  • Living in Amsterdam or willing to relocate to Amsterdam

Responsibilities IT Support Engineer

  • Facilitate business continuity
  • Provide support for IT environment of the office (hardware, software, infrastructure, communication, security, networking)
  • Installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all hardware and equipment; to ensure optimal performance
  • Follow technology innovations and advise on how to apply within the office
  • Setting up and clearing out conference rooms, AV installations and making sure these are always up to date
  • Liaison with key 3rd party suppliers and internal groups when needed
  • Troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone or via email) and provide end?user assistance
  • Part of the job is pushing new technologies into the office, and making people excited about tech, and creating  in general
